As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the community, ABC was proud to visit a local primary school this week with one of our grab lorries – giving Reception children an unforgettable, hands-on learning experience.

The visit was part of the school’s “People Who Help Us” topic, aimed at introducing young pupils to different roles in the community. Our driver, Andy, brought along a 32-tonne grab lorry, which made a big impression as it rolled through the school gates to the excited children.

Andy demonstrated how the grab arm works, unloading three large buckets of topsoil and six tyres, all donated by ABC. These will be repurposed by the school for digging areas and planters in the Reception outdoor space and across the wider school grounds.

As a small keepsake, each child received a lorry-shaped ruler to take home.

A huge thank you to the school for welcoming us – and to Andy for being such a fantastic ambassador for the work we do.
