Atlas Tippers and Grabs help to grow forest.
This year’s London Design Biennale at Somerset House has been created to raise awareness of nature and our global climate change goals. 400 trees were planted in the courtyard of London’s Somerset House. The forest contains a total of 23 different species of tree found across the UK and Northern Ireland.
The construction of the site was extremely tight with delivery of the material and planting of the trees taking place on the Saturday before the grand opening to the public on Monday.
Our 8-wheel tippers
Our 8-wheel tippers and grab lorries delivered 200 metres of Bark Mulch to Somerset House during the early hours of Saturday. Timings had to be precise to align with the planting of the trees and strict timings had to be adhered to coincide with the other vehicles on site.
Atlas Bulk Carriers were happy to be involved in raising the awareness of the global goals of our planet. The timings were met, the client was happy and we will be back at the weekend to remove and recycle the material.
